Well, here I am
First Whiskey Jack’s
tried to get me on Substack. Didn’t happen. I’m not much of a reader. Then, I met a great musician, who told me, don’t sweat it! You can do different things with Substack. He wasn’t kidding.1. Why this, why now
Once upon a time, I had a relatively popular podcast on a rather unethical network where I interviewed some real big names in music like Andy Kim, Chris De Burgh, Joe Satriani, Colin Linden, Rik Emmett and many more. With my music, I’ve met so many great musicians who you’ve never heard of but should have. They are a special breed because they, like me, do everything for their music career by themselves. I want folks to hear them and challenge what they think about the music business and those of us who work in it.
2. What I’m trying to do here
This community is for everyone everywhere. This is a safe space for everyone. I am an ally to the different, and the oppressed. I especially hate the bullies. I want musicians and folks who just appreciate music and what we are trying to do. Here’s the great thing about us indie musicians, we love to talk to you! And you can do that here!
3. My background
Besides being a musician, I am a freelance broadcaster. I have worked for the CBC as a news stringer, I did some freelance writing for an online publication called Peta Pixel and I was an old-fashioned DJ in the seventies at a local radio station, CFYN. I will do my very best to deliver a concise, compelling interview with all my experience.
looks great!!!
